Let's take some time to think and dream about your future.
Now, I know that reviewing your past can lead to depression. Focusing on the future can lead to anxiety. And living in the present is always best, but that does not mean that we are not to dream and plan. In fact, scripture tells us to count the cost before we run off and take on a new project. Counting the cost would involve looking at the future.
So, what are we to do? First, I'm not talking about looking at the future to dwell on all that could go wrong, how we could fail, etc. I'm talking about dreaming alongside God, with scripture in hand. Sinkg into your daydreams for a moment. Letting your passion, gifts, and talents take the front seat. Praying and seeking God's wisdom for the future and how you can walk with Him into it is a great place to start. He has abundantly more for you than you realize - but so often it's our own fears and mental blocks that prevent what He has prepared for us.
If you could go back to your childhood dreams, what excited you? What lit that fire in you? What were your hopes and dreams then?
Words and art always excited me. Being creative. Photography. Writing. Guess what I majored in in college? Graphic design with photography. A five-year program where I put words and art together every day. I have worked in the field ever since, more focused on photography now than the corporate design I first was involved in, but still putting words and art together. And I'm still writing. :)
Know what else always excited me? The idea of doing something that people valued enough to pay for - earning money, having my own business. And since I was in college, I have done that. I have always had several side businesses in line with my passions.
Now I am creative and passionate about helping and walking alongside other women who also love the idea of having their own businesses -- and winning together!
Are you ending 2022 with joy that you hit goals, grew, and are moving forward into the life you envisioned? One with physical, mental, and spiritual abundance?
Are you ready to plan for the coming year to be one of positivity and possibilities? Do you want help?
Let me know if starting a business is part of your future. I'd love to hear your story and see if this is a good fit for you.
